The portals offers to labour unions

The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is introduced as a translation device between different national education systems in order to facilitating workers employability and mobility across borders within Europe in order to meet the requirements of supply and demand within the European labour market. For this purpose it aims to make workers qualifications more transparent to those not familiar with the workers national education system and fosters the recognition of learning taking place near the workplace or in other non-/ informal settings. Read more about the EQF and its mode of action …

The EQF adaptation support portal provides information on different EQF-adaptation approaches within different national and sectoral contexts in Europe. It shows how education elements such as occupational profiles, training programmes and assessment procedures need to be and are adapted in order to comply with EQF requirements. Further information and guidance is provided on what needs to be considered for the recognition of workers abilities gained in different formal, non- and informal contexts as well as to increase workers prospects to get employment in another European country where their qualifications are needed.

The enclosed discussion forum provides the opportunity for practitioners in VET related professions to discuss, exchange and receive guidance and support from experts and peers about EQF adaptation in their specific institutional, sectoral and national contexts.
